ASIA Featuring John Payne
John Payne became the frontman of the supergroup ASIA in 1992 at the invitation of keyboardist Geoff Downes, replacing vocalist/bassist John Wetton. With John Payne fronting the band, ASIA released eight stunning studio albums, several live albums, a live DVD and toured the world extensively for 14 years.
In 2006, Geoff Downes left the band to reform the 1982 line-up for their 25th anniversary. Subsequently John Payne, Geoff Downes, John Wetton, Carl Palmer and Steve Howe contractually agreed that John Payne would continue his 14 year legacy with ASIA as “ASIA Featuring John Payne”. The group has been touring North America since 2008. In 2009, they released an EP entitled Military Man. A new studio album entitled Americana is planned for release in 2011.
Expose’
Ann Curless, Jeanette Jurado, and Gioia Bruno have re-united to return to the stage after almost 15 years. The record-breaking dance/pop trio generated 10 top 10 Billboard Chart hits like, “Let Me Be the One,” “Point of No Return,” “What You Don’t Know,” along with their number one smash hit, “Seasons Change.” They were the first girl group to have seven back-to-back top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Even more significantly, the sexy three-some were the first group to have four top 10 hits on their debut album, surpassing the Beatles and the Supremes.
Lisa Lisa
Lisa Lisa (Lisa Velez) and her band Cult Jam were an urban contemporary band and one of first freestyle music groups to emerge from New York City in the 1980s. She attended North Miami Senior High School, where she was raised by her father, Will Garcia and her step mother. Her number one hits include: “Head to Toe,” “Lost in Emotion,” – from the hugely successful Spanish Fly album -- and “I Wonder If I Take You Home (with Full Force), and “Can You Feel the Beat”: both big clubs hits. As a solo artist, she recorded another club hit, “When I fell In Love,” and the single, “Skip To My Lu” that hit number 38 on the R&B chart. In 2009 she released the Life ‘n Love album on the Mass Appeal label.
Guns 4 Roses
The total Guns N’ Roses rock and roll experience, Guns 4 Roses rocks songs from “Welcome to the Jungle” to “November Rain” and everything in between, with a full stage production bringing you back to the classic long hair, leather pants, sunglasses, bandanas, top hats, and Les Paul guitars. This talented band has performed on stages all across the United States and Mexico with artists including Vince Neil from Motley Crue and Bret Michaels from Poison, while playing for crowds of GN’R fans as large as 14,000 people.
